Ardscoil Rís hockey side beat Midleton College to secure Junior B Munster success

Ardscoil Ris and Midleton College met during the week as the schools contested the Munster B Junior Cup final. The Catholic Institute was the venue during the week as Ardscoil emerged victorious on a 2-0 scoreline.

The goals for the North Circular Road school – who are relatively new arrivals in the world of schools hockey – were scored by Jack Power and Jim Roulston while the performance of Frankie Naughton at the centre of defence was the undoubted major talking point of the game.

Ardscoil brought a vocal and colourful support to this superb Limerick facility and Captain Jack Brosnahan and the team and coaches should be rightly proud of the great strides the school has made in the sport.
