Emerald AC star Ciara Neville and Sophie Meridith, of St Mary’s AC enjoyed a positive weekend in Germany.
The two athletes traveled as part of the Irish U20 team to take part in the highly regarded Mannheim Gala.
Meredith, still just 16-years old finished in sixth place in the long jump competition with a jump of six metres.

Former Castletroy College student, Neville enjoyed a third place fininsh in the 100m final coming home in a time of 11.60 having earlier won her heat in a time of 11.72.

Neville enjoyed a first place finish as part of Ireland’s talented 4x100m relay team. She, along with Gina Akpe Moses, Patience Jumbo-Gula, and Rhasidat Adeleke secured a time of 44.31.
