Musgrave Park to become 4G surface

Munster Rugby have applied for funding to turn the natural grass surface of Irish Independent park to an artificial 4G surface To fund this project, Munster have applied for a sports capital grant with the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport. This grant would go towards the first phase of the stadium upgrade of changing the playing surface. The scrum half chatted with Munster Rugby ahead of the new season. Formerly of Racing Metro and Grenoble in the Top14 in France, Hart grew up Dublin playing club rugby for Clontarf and schools rugby with Belvedere college. Garbhan Coughlan of Limerick FC and Claire O’Riordan from Newcastlewest picked in Team Ireland to compete in the World University Games in August. Team Ireland’s head coaches Glenn Yelverton and Colin Bell have announced a squad of forty for the upcoming games which includes Limerick natives Garbhan Coughlan and Claire O’Riordan. Garbhan Coughlan has had a standout season with Limerick FC, most recently scoring in his last two league games. Saturday’s third and final test match marked the end of a brilliant summer of rugby for Munster players. In April Warren Gatland named his 41 man squad for the tour of New Zealand and included three Munster players in C.J Stander, Peter O’Mahony and Conor Murray.
