BREAKING: Limerick FC sign Norwich defender Joe Crowe

Norwich defender Joe Crowe (19) joins Limerick FC on loan.

Limerick FC have announced their second signing in July as 19-year old defender Joe Crowe joins from Norwich City.

The Norwich City defender is expected to link up with the Superblues for the rest of the season.

The centre-half has come through the ranks at the Canaries, who are currently training in Ireland ahead as part of their preseason preparations.

He has been capped by Northern Ireland up to under-19 level and was called up to the under-21 squad for the first time by new boss Ian Baraclough in May

Crowe joins fellow new arrival Henry Cameron at the Markets Field as Neil McDonald looks to do his business early on in the July transfer window.

The Shannonsiders are currently in a good position to challenge for a European place, they’re currently five points adrift of 4th spot and six off 3rd with a game in hand.
