Speaking at the Top of The Town preview night, Joseph O’Brien stated that he would strongly fancy Douvan if he runs in the Queen Mother Champion Chase with Ruby Walsh taking the ride.
That has turned out to be the case despite thoughts that Willie Mullins may run the gelding in the Ryanair.
Douvan is currently joint second favourite with another of Mullins’ prized runners Min at 7/2 with Altior leading the market
