Laura Guest has named her first Munster side for this weekend’s opening Interpro fixture

Siobhan Fleming of Tralee RFC captains the side with a total of seven clubs represented in the 23 whilst 11 UL Bohs players make the starting XV.

Laura O’Mahony and Syphonia Pua, who is making her interprovincial debut, start on the wings with Valerie Power starting at Full back.

Aine Staunton is joined by Niamh Kavanagh in the centre with Rachel Allen also making her Interpro debut at out half. Ellen Murphy will join the newly capped Allen at scrum half.

The ever reliant Fiona Hayes, Gillian Bourke and Fiona Reidy make up the Munster front row, with a third debutant Siobhan McCarthy being joined by Chloe Pearse in the second row.

Captain Fleming will be joined in the back row with Edel Murphy and Ciara Griffin.

Replacement Linda McNamara is set to get her first taste of Interpro action too, as Leah Lyons, Maura Collins, Zoe Grattage, Roisin Ormond, Anna Caplice, Christine Arthurs and Laura Sheehan complete the bench.

Munster travel to Galway on Saturday as they open their Interprovincial campaign at the Sportsground against Connacht for 2:30pm kick off.

Siobhan Fleming and her side then play host to Ulster in Garryowen FC in their first home Interpro game on Saturday, December 9, at 3pm the following weekend. The campaign will be rounded off against Leinster at Thomond Park on Saturday, December 16, at 2.30pm.
