The feature race is the Grade 2 Guiness Novice Hurdle (2.10), a race that has previously produced Cheltenham stars to include Faugheen, Martello Tower and Weapons Amnesty. The Willie Mullins trained Fabulous Saga and Ansi Va La Vie are fancied. Although there is a strong case to be made for Noel Meade’s Punchestown maiden hurdle winner Minella Fair.

The racing gets underway at 12.30 today with the Racing Post Maiden Hurdle, the going is heavy.

Today racegoers will hope that the excitement of the  D Pack Packaging Rated Novice Chase can be matched, when Phillip Enright pulled off a beautiful recovery to win the race, when it seemed as though he was sure to hit the turf aboard Surf Instructor. While the racecourse management will hope that the healthy attendence continues for the final day of the festival.
