Limerick Cricket Club chase glory in National Cup Final

In their 50th year, Limerick Cricket Club are on the brink of a historic win when they play Rush Cricket Club, Co Dublin in their own back yard in Sunday’s National Cup Final.

It’s a mammoth task for the Limerick side that are in the final for the first time against their illustrious opponents that won the competition in 2015 and 2016.

On Limerick’s request, the final has been moved from one of Ireland’s international grounds, Stormont, to the home of Rush Cricket Club.

Led by captain Zia Khan, Limerick Cricket Club have reached Sunday’s decider after wins over Longford, Cregagh, Knockharley and then Co Galway in the semi final. This season is the first time that Limerick have made it past the third round.

The game is set to start at 12:30pm at Rush Cricket Club and entry into the ground is free.
