Limerick LGFA cruise past Kilkenny and move into semi final places

The Limerick Ladies had an impressive win in the Lidl NFL Division 4.

The Limerick Ladies Senior Football team had a facile win over Kilkenny on Sunday in Dunmore. An opening half saw the visitors seize total control and go in at the break with a 3-08 to 0-0 advantage.

The second half was pretty much a carbon copy with Limerick picking off scores at ease while holding their opponents scoreless for the duration. John Ryan’s side added a goal and fifteen it the second period to finish with a total of 4-23.

This Limerick side have had a mixed bag of results this season but are progressing nicely. The win over bottom side Kilkenny moves Limerick on to 7 points and if they can follow that up with another victory away to Louth at the weekend then it would be a big step towards the semi finals with the top four to qualify.

With second from bottom Derry to play and surely what should be another three points to the tally, John Ryan knows that a win against Louth this weekend, puts Limerick back in the driving seat with regards to sealing that precious semi final spot as the team bid to bounce back from last year’s relegation.
