Limerick swimmer Eoin Corby finishes in top 20 at Youth Olympics

Corby, 15, today finished inside the top 20 at the European Youth Olympics.

Eoin Corby, of Limerick Swimming Club, is currently in Gyor Hungary competing at the European youth Olympics in swimming events.

Eoin swam the 200m breaststroke this morning in a very impressive time of 2:26.75. As there are no semi finals in the 200m event Corby ended up finishing in the top 20 at the tournament.

The Pallaskhenry Secondary school student will compete in the 400m IM event tomorrow. The IM stands for individual medley which is 4 different swimming styles over the course of the 400m event.

Team Ireland will also be involved in four different swimming events tomorrow at the games in Hungary. A link to todays results and a full schedule of tomorrow’s events is below.
