LISTEN: John Ryan “It’s a Munster final and we will give it all the respect it deserves”

Limerick play Clare in the ladies intermediate football final in Clarecastle on Sunday morning at 11am. John Ryan’s side will be seeing some new faces getting game time with some players unavailable through holidays and exams.

His Clare counterpart James Murray has agreed to unlimited subs during the game as both sides look to make the most of the game with the championship looming.

It is a stand alone Munster final as there are no other junior or intermediate teams in Munster hence the meeting of the close neighbours. Ryan says it is a good opportunity to see where his squad are at.

“Clare are a very good intermediate team and we will be looking for a performance form our girls. We will be looking to use our panel and a game like this is better than ten training sessions. This will give us some idea of where we are at.

“Hopefully on Sunday, not alone will be put in a good performance but there could be a surprise on the cards.”
