Mike Prendergast bolsters new-look coaching ticket at Stade Francais

Mike Prendergast bolsters new-look backroom team at Stade Francais.

Former Young Munster Director of Rugby Mike Prendergast has joined the coaching staff of the Top 14 side as backs and attack coach on a two-year deal.

Prendergast, who had spent four years at Grenoble, finished up in his role with relegated Oyonnax last month and now links up with new head coach Heyneke Meyer in the French capital.

Pieter De Villiers will fulfill the role of forwards coach along with defence coach John McFarland and skills coach Julien Dupuy.

The Paris-based club will be hoping for improved fortunes this season following their 12th place finish in the Top 14.

Next season will provide an exciting opportunity for Prendergast as his stock on the coaching scene continues to rise. With German billionaire owner Hans-Peter Wild already bringing in new marquee signings ahead of the season including Gaël Fickou and  Yoann Maestri from Toulouse.
