Munster focus switches to Pro14 derby with Ulster after European exit

Following the disappointing defeat to Racing 92 in the Champions Cup semi final, Munster’s attentions turn back to the Guinness Pro14 and the derby clash with Ulster at Thomond Park this Saturday.

Johann van Graan’s side have already secured a home quarter final in the competition and began preparations for Ulster’s visit to Limerick by returning to training today.

Munster have reported no serious injuries after the Racing loss with John Ryan and Niall Scannell being the only two worries ahead of the game with Ulster.

There have been positive updates on Duncan Williams and Dan Goggin who have both returned to full training. Jaco Taute is also back in the fold for the first time since September 2017 after stepping up his recovery from a knee injury and may play again this season.

Elsewhere, Bill Johnston has signed a two-year deal to remain with Munster. The 21-year-old out half has been blighted by injuries so far in his professional career but is regarded as a big prospect.
