Paul O’Connell adds to Limerick flavour at Stade Francais

Former Munster, Ireland and Lions captain Paul O’Connell has joined the coaching staff at French side Stade Francais as forwards coach.

The Limerick man has signed a two year deal at the Top 14 club, with an option of a further year.

O’Connell will link up with fellow Limerick native Mike Prendergast, who, like O’Connell, previously played for Munster and Young Munster.

The French club teased the arrival of the Munster legend on social media earlier this afternoon before revealing the former Ireland 20’s coach as the newest member of Heyneke Meyer backroom team.

O’Connell is joining an exciting new project at Stade Francais as the famous club look to recapture past glories, backed by mega-rich owner Hans-Peter Wild.
