WATCH: Adare Manor gets glowing endorsement to host Ryder Cup

Some of the greatest names in the history of Irish golf have given the Adare Manor the biggest possible endorsement in its bid to host the Ryder Cup in 2026.

Four time Major champion Rory McIlroy, along with Padraig Harrington, Paul McGinley and Shane Lowry played at the official opening of the course and the Pro Am on Friday and is fully confident that the new course is perfect to host the marquee competition.

“JP to have the vision to create what is now here. I’ve played and competed at much venues in the Ryder Cup. I’d be very confident that this would be very successful,” said McIlroy.

McGinley, who captained Europe to Ryder Cup success in 2014 echoed McIlroy’s sentiments, saying he was 100\% behind Adare Manor’s bid.
