Munster take on Edinburgh in Murrayfield tonight in their re-fixed Pro 14 clash at 7.35. It’s been three weeks since Munster beat Glasgow as the original Edinburgh clash was postponed as a result of Storm Emma. With the Six Nations wrapping up this weekend, it is a final chance for fringe players to make their case ahead of the Champions Cup clash against Toulon, with the international players due back in the next fortnight.

We spoke to Munster Head Coach Johann Van Graan ahead of the game.

“Very good performance against Glasgow a couple of weeks ago. We were all ready to go against Edinburgh but the weather played its part. But we just adapted our programme, our training. We adjusted everything and started again.”

Munster have made six changes to the Glasgow side for this game with Mike Sherry making his first start in the best part of two years. Billy Holland captains the side as JJ Hanrahan, Rory Scannell, Darren Sweetnam, Sherry, Jack O’Donoghue and Conor Oliver all come into the starting XV. With the season moving towards the business end, Van Graan is looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

“We are looking forward to this next phase. Potentially 11 games remaining. A lot of excitement. This is the part of the season that you want to be involved in.”

In the B&I Cup, The Champions Cup and the Pro 14 we are well set so and cant wait for the challenge ahead.”
