Goals from Rodrigo Tosi and Shane Tracy gave the hosts a 2 goal lead before Kieran Sadlier pulled one back for Cork. Limerick would resist a late Cork surge to take the three points and a huge step towards survival.

The win moves Limerick five points clear of the relegation zone and provides some valuable breathing space as the side will depart for Turner’s Cross next weekend for one of the biggest games in the club’s recent history when the again face Cork City in the FAI Cup semi final.
