WATCH: Johann van Graan laments the loss of “true Munster man” Copeland

Munster head coach Johann van Graan has praised Robin Copeland following his decision to leave the province at the end of the season.

Despite being offered a “very good contract”, it was announced last week that the 30 year-old will sign for Connacht upon leaving Munster.

“Robin felt he needed a different challenge, he’s been open and honest, a true Munster man. He’s been incredible to the province and we wish him well”.

While Copeland joins the list of those departing, van Graan is looking forward to welcoming “quality” player, Mike Haley to the scene and tips him for international success.

“We did our research into him, into what type of player we wanted, looked at all the options available. Fair play to all parties involved for getting a quality, quality player to Munster.”
