WATCH – Johann van Graan on possibility of Taute and Cloete featuring again this season

Johann van Graan says he’s happy with the progression of injured South African duo Jaco Taute and Chris Cloete.

The pair have been long-term absentees for Munster through injury this season.

The squad gathered in UL this morning with preparations commencing for Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 semi-final qualifier against Edinburgh.

Following the round 21 draw against Ulster, Duncan Williams is following return to play protocols this week after presenting with concussion.

Taute, who took part in the warm-up at the weekend, will return to training this week after rehabbing a long-term knee injury sustained against Cardiff Blues in September.

Niall Scannell (AC joint) and John Ryan (back) continued to be monitored by the medical team, with Ryan confirmed as not available for this weekend’s knockout game.

Continuing to rehab: Tommy O’Donnell (shoulder), Kevin O’Byrne (hip flexor), Tyler Bleyendaal (neck), Chris Farrell (knee), Chris Cloete (forearm).

Watch van Graan as he gives an update on back row Cloete and centre Taute below.
