WATCH – Johann van Graan reflects on hectic Christmas & gives squad update

Johann van Graan had maintained a 100\% record as Munster head coach up until the busy Christmas period, where his side suffered defeat in two inter provincial derby encounters in less than a week.

The hectic schedule now continues as Munster face into another derby clash with Connacht five days after they suffered a loss at the hands of Ulster in Ravenhill.

“An intense few days, two very hard-fought games. We were on the wrong end of two results. I can fault the intent and the accuracy of the first forty minutes against Ulster, we rested a lot of our front-runners and they stood up.

“I thought we started the second half well but very disappointed to concede a yellow and a red that cost us the game. Very frustrating but we take it on the chin as a team, it’s been an interesting Christmas.”

The head coach also goes into detail about his squad’s injury issues in the video piece below.
