WATCH: JvG “We’re looking forward to the opportunity to play against the champions”
Munster head coach JvG agrees that Leinster are favourites coming into this weekend’s Pro 14 semi-final after they secured the Champions Cup last weekend with a hard fought win over Racing 92 in Bilbao. Racing eliminated Munster in the semi finals of the champions cup and thus will be keenly aware of the threat of this Leinster who are seeking a domestic and European double.
Munster head into the game as underdogs, a tag that has suited them well throughout the years. Yet, in these derbies, there is rarely much between the sides.
“(On Leinster entering as favourites) I believe they will. They played well over the weekend in the champions cup. They’ve been in incredible form all season, playing some impressive rugby.”
