Lions players belt out the famous Irish Ballad

The British and Irish Lions players were at the Roundhouse music venue in London last night for a farewell dinner ahead of their tour of New Zealand where they will be flying out today (Monday) ahead of their first game on Saturday.

Head coach Warren Gatland has been open about saying how important it was for the players to bond ahead of the trip. For example Ireland’s Robbie Henshaw and England’s Owen Farrell were roommates last week during training in Dublin having only played against each other a few times.

Gatland stuck to his word and by the end of yesterdays farewell dinner he had all the players on stage singing a song from each nation.

Check out this video of the Lions singing the famous ‘Field’s of Athenry’ last night. A few embarrassed faces by a couple of the lads to be seen as well.
