WATCH: Mike Prendergast “There is a lot of excitement but realism as well”

WATCH: Mike Prendergast excited by Stade Francais challenge.

The former Munster scrum half chatted with Sporting Limerick about his move to Stade Francais as he joins the Heyneke Meyer coaching ticket for next season.

Prendergast has spent time in France as a player with Bourgoin and also a coach with Grenoble, Oyannax and now makes the considerable step up with State Francais.

Prendergast is relishing the challenge but says there is a lot of work to be done.

“There’s alot of work to be done. We did a bit of recruitment. I think with getting Gael Fickou and Yoann Meastri, by us getting them, there was a lot of media around that.”

“There is a lot of excitement but realism as well.”

“Coming to Paris, the job is the main thing i was looking at. That’s what I’m excited about, looking forward to working with these coaches and these players.”

“Trying to build something, exciting times but work to be done.”
