WATCH – New Munster scrum half Neil Cronin on decision to join the province and massive game for Garryowen

It’s been a landmark day year for Garryowen captain Neil Cronin. The Limerick man achieved his goal of lifting the Munster Senior Cup at the beginning of 2018, he was then selected as captain for the Irish Club side before being part of the coaching team with St Munchin’s famous Junior Cup win at Thomond Park, before capping it all off by signing a professional contract with Munster.

The St Munchin’s College teacher had a stint at the province previously during his college years but felt that he lacked maturity at the time.

The place kicking scrum half will firstly focus his attention on closing out his Division 1A campaign with Garryowen in a fantastic position to reach the semi-final stages this Saturday as they entertain St Mary’s College.

Watch the full interview with Neil Cronin below as Sporting Limerick caught up with the club captain at his stomping ground in Dooradoyle.
