WATCH: Reaction from van Graan, O’Mahony, Ackermann & Slater

Munster got the job done against Gloucester with a 36-22 bonus point at Thomond Park on Saturday afternoon but it could yet come at a huge cost with Tommy O’Donnell suffering a suspected broken leg while Dan Goggin and Rhys Marshall also suffered injuries.

“We’ve no confirmation yet but I believe Tommy has broken his leg”, said van Graan at the post match Press conference. “We will know about Dan and Rhys on Monday. It’s a big loss eight weeks into the season, losing three starters adding to those we are already missing.”

Gloucester head coach Johan Ackermann bemoaned Danny Cipriani’s 30th minute red card after the out half playmaker’s shoulder made contact with the head of Rory Scannell in the process of making a tackle. (See below)

The South African was critical of the decision and says that there was no intent by Cipriani to hurt his opponent.

“My view is simple, it’s spoiling the game if there is no intent. It’s not going to change the result. I’ve got a lot to say but I’m not going to say it. It’s not going to change anything. Danny is disappointed. That’s how he protects himself when he trains, he didn’t even want to tackle the guy! He wanted to get out of it. It’s done and dusted.
