WATCH: Women’s Barbarians side beat Munster in ground breaking fixture

Laura Guest’s side lost out 19-0 in the first ever game contested by a women’s Barbarian XV selection at a rain soaked Thomond Park last night.

The visitors were made up of a selection drawn from seven nations and simply had a bit too much for Munster.

Tries came courtesy of a first half penalty try as well as second half efforts from Irish international Ailis Egan before Tania Rosser scored the last try of the evening to put any hopes of a Munster comeback to bed.

Munster fielded two entirely different sides in each half with the coaching staff aware that there is a full round of All Ireland League action this weekend. Prior to the game Laura Guest spoke of how this game will help in their preparations for the upcoming interpro series which kicks off on December 2nd.
