Anthony ‘Axel’ Foley documentary to air on Monday night

The documentary is to air exactly a year on since the tragic passing of the Munster Coach.

It has almost been a year since the untimely passing of former Munster great Anthony ‘Axel’ Foley’s death in Paris on October 16th 2016.

RTÉ have released a trailer for a documentary called “Munsterman” which details the former No. 8’s life from a young age, all the way up through the ranks at Shannon, Munster and Ireland. It also focuses huge sense of loss amongst his family, team mates and Munster supporters as well as some of the great stories told by friends and relatives about the Kilaloe native.

The documentary – produced by Wildfire Films – will be shown on RTÉ 1 on Monday night at 9:35 pm. You can watch the trailer for “Munsterman” here.
