Neville among five Munster referees awarded pro contracts by IRFU

Joy Neville is among seven referees to be awarded professional contracts by the IRFU, five of whom are from Munster.

The contract is the latest in a string of accomplishments for Neville after she made her Guinness Pro14 debut last month as an assistant referee when Connacht took on the Southern Kings at the Sportsground.

Later this month, she will referee her first mens international clash when Norway face Denmark in the Rugby Europe competition.

Welsh born referee, Andrew Brace and former Munster scrum-half Frank Murphy have also been awarded professional contracts as well as seasoned referees, George Clancy and John Lacey.

Contracts were also given to Ulster’s David Wilkinson and Sean Gallagher from Connacht.
