UL Bohemian’s Women march on in AIL

The Limerick side have been unstoppable so far this season with a 100% record.

UL Bohemians Women’s side ran out 62-5 winner’s over Blackrock on Sunday afternoon in Annacotty, further confirming their dominance of the club game in Ireland.

Bohs established their superiority early and over the 80 minutes ran in a total of ten tries to leave their Dublin visitors reeling.

Laura Sheehan, Helen McDermott and Edel Murphy all got a brace of tries for the reigning All Ireland Champions, whilst Chloe Pearse, Niamh Kavanagh, Aine Staunton and Syphonia Pua all grabbed a try of their own to make it a relatively straightforward afternoon for the AIL table toppers.

Blackrock in the second half were a different prospect with their defence improving substantially but the damage was already done. Towards the closing stages of the game Alix Doyle got her side’s just rewards for a strong second 40 performance and went over in the corner at the ned of a nice team try.

Here is how the Women’s AIL table looks this morning, with both UL Bohemians and Railway Union leading the way with a perfect seven out of seven wins.
