Former Limerick FC boss Martin Russell to take up role with Maynooth University

Martin Russell is set to begin a role with the Maynooth University Men’s senior squad.

UEFA Pro license holder, Russell had most recently been working as manager for the PFAI Ireland out of contract players camp.

The Dubliner parted ways with Limerick just 6 games into the 2017 SSE Airtricity Premier Division season “by mutual consent” having successfully guided the side to a First Division title the previous season.

Maynooth University Soccer Club has seen great success in recent years. At present there are six squads representing the clubs in third level competition, four men & two ladies.

The Universities’ representative teams compete in the CUFL (Colleges & Universities Football League), the IUFU (Irish Universities Football Union) & the WSCAI (Women Soccer Colleges Association of Ireland).
