Munster sweat on O’Mahony ahead of Castre clash.
The Munster squad returned to the High Performance Centre in Limerick today as they begin preperations for Sunday’s crucial Champions Cup clash against Castres Olympique at Thomond Park.
Captain Peter O’Mahony, who departed 55 minutes into the clash against Racing 92 with an ankle knock, continues to be treated by the medical team.
While Mike Sherry and Conor Oliver have both been added to Munster’s Champions Cup squad in place of Liam O’Connor and Mark Flanagan.
Ronan O’Mahony suffered no ill effects on his return from long-term injury for Munster A in Friday night’s win away to Nottingham in the British and Irish Cup.
Gerbrandt Grobler, who was injured in the pre-season game against Worcester Warriors back in August, also made a successful return for Munster A.
Calvin Nash started for Munster A on Friday night and is now back to full fitness.
Dave O’Callaghan and Dan Goggin are back in full training following their long-term injuries.
Niall Scannell (ribs) continues to be treated by the medical team and Tommy O’Donnell is still undergoing rehab for an AC joint injury.
