WATCH: Darragh Droog – Na Piarsaigh success will help “bolster” Limerick hurling

Na Piarsaigh Strength and Conditioning Coach, Darragh Droog says that the club’s progression can rub off at inter-county level, regardless of the result of Sunday’s final against Cuala.

John Kiely’s men have reached the quarter-final stages of the Allianz Hurling League having topped Division 1B and Droog believes that the Na Piarsaigh contingent will provide a further boost when they return to the squad after March 17.

“Any time a Limerick side can make their way to an All Ireland Final, it can only be a good thing for them. Obviously Na Piarsaigh have 10 guys involved with the Limerick hurling squad so it can help bolster them mentally when they go back into the squad”.

And it is that strong mentality, along with their commitment, that Droog feels sets Na Piarsaigh apart from other clubs.

“They are an exceptional group. They do whatever it takes to be successful… Their commitment to their trade would be one of the highest accolades you could give them.”
