LISTEN: Declan Nash “We’re looking forward to defending our title”

LISTEN: New Limerick camogie manager Declan Nash is relishing Tipperary challenge.

The Limerick camogie team face Tipperary this Saturday in the Munster semi final at the Ragg GAA Grounds. Limerick are defending champions and will be keen to repeat their heroics from last year while Declan Nash has been ratified as new manager of the side after two years as Strength and Conditioning coach.

Nash replaces John Tuohy who stepped away from the post recently and is quietly confident of his side’s chances heading into the weekend against a Tipp side who they are no strangers to. Limerick reached the Munster final last year after a victory over Tipperary in Semple Stadium.

“I’m into my third year as strength and conditioning coach so no stranger to them at all. They’re a great bunch to be fair.”

“Mid-season continuity is all you’d be looking for really… It was very important to keep that continuity going.”

“Tipp will be a difficult task. We’ve played them a couple of times in the last 12-18 months and there’s been very little between the sides so it’s not going to be easy by any means but look we’re looking forward to defending our title.”

“The league campaign was decent enough. Disappointed to go out at the semi-final stage but some good results and some good performances.”

Throw in this Saturday is 7pm with a place in the final up for grabs.
