WATCH – “How they’re not blind and taken off in an ambulance I don’t know”

One of Limerick’s longest serving hurling fans.

96-year-old hurling fan, Theresa, wasn’t best pleased with the level of physicality in Limerick’s Munster Championship loss to Clare at Cusack Park last weekend.

The game that saw a double sending off in the first half and Theresa tells her grandson John, of Ballinacurra Gardens that “it was the dirtiest match she ever saw in her life”

“How they’re not blind and taken off in an ambulance I don’t know,” she continued.

The treaty looked to still be in the game at the time of filming as they trailed Clare by just 4 points (0-12 to 0-8), however, this experienced hurling enthusiast was spot as she called the outcome.

“I knew that the Clare fellas would have to win it in their own domain. They weren’t going to let the other fellas win it.”
