WATCH: Darragh Droog on minor preparations “Short and sweet is what we’ve been at really.”

Limerick come into the Munster final on the back of a thrilling comeback win over Clare in the final round robin game of the Munster championship. In the intervening two weeks, the team and managemnet have been preparing for a fifth Munster final in six years.

We caught up with strength and conditioning coach Darragh Droog to see how the team are feeling in the build up to the game. He spoke about the effect of the warm weather spell on training and also helping the players to cope with playing in front of large crowds.

“We have to consider the weather, as hot as it’s been so short and sweet is what we’ve been at really.”

“I think for most of the game, as it’s a half 11 start instead of 12 o clock it seems like there will be a lot less people there at the start and maybe there will be a bot more towards the end of it.”

“I think the format has suited all counties as they have got far more experience and far more big days to play in front of big crowds.”
