Tom Morrissey named GAA hurler of the week

The Limerick forward earned 7,962 votes on the Official GAA Instagram page with Kilkenny’s Richie Hogan second and Clare’s Shane O’Donnell third.

GAA.ie Hurler of the Week

1: Tom Morrissey (Limerick) – 7,962 votes

2: Richie Hogan (Kilkenny) – 3,757 votes

3: Shane O’Donnell (Clare) – 3,585 votes

Despite his brother Dan being named as the Sunday Game’s Man of The Match, Tom Morrissey has scooped the GAA.ie hurler of the week following a public vote.

Last year’s U21 All Ireland winning captain was influential in the half forward line with two of his four point tally coming in a crucial period after Kilkenny had hit the front through a Richie Hogan goal.

Players of the Week are decided based on votes cast by followers of the Official GAA Instagram page.
