Listen – Lee J Lynch hoping that Limerick can turn things around

Limerick FC’s 3-1 defeat to Sligo Rovers last Friday at the Markets Field looks certain to have ensured that they will have to face a relegation playoff with seven games of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division remaining.

Former Super Blue Lee J Lynch was part of that Sligo side on Friday and admits that it’s sad to see Limerick in the situation that they are in.

It’s not good being honest. I had three great years here. Everyone wants to play for their hometown club and see them do well.

It’s a sad thing to see but they are where they are. I hope things work out for them in the off season and new investment comes in because they deserve to be a team in the Premier Division with the fanbase in the city.
