Joey Carberry’s shock move to Munster was met with much excitement from the Munster faithful when it was announced that the out half would be joining the province.
The Ireland out-half has proved his class for Leinster and will be keen to do the same for his new club. When asked about his experience with the province so far, Carberry has been happy with how his new teammates have helped him settle.
“I’m loving it down here. It’s a great bunch of lads and they’re really helping me settle in here. It’s always a bit of fun in the dressing room.”
With the addition of Carberry’s fellow Irish international Tadgh Beirne, Munster’s squad depth is beginning to look as impressive as it was during their spell as the most dominant team in the 00’s. Carberry is happy to face competition for a starting berth and says it will help develop the team.
“I think competition will help us grow. We’ll be helping each other out and I suppose pushing each other to get better and at the end of the day that’s making Munster better.”
