Sporting Limerick are to launch a revamped website over the weekend aimed at improving the delivery of digital sports content in Limerick City and County. The new design has been put together by Limerick company Elive and will see a slight shift in focus towards live streaming and sports events while maintaining the current levels of coverage.
The website has previously streamed rugby matches as well as championship action from both the Limerick Senior Hurling and Football Championships this season with a double header of action again from the Gaelic Grounds this weekend.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Sporting Limerick editor Raffaele Rocca says the move represents an exciting opportunity for the website. “Video content is key and offering consumers a product they want is crucial to keeping people engaged. We will have games available this weekend as well as more exciting projects in the pipeline.
“Our old website had become not fit for purpose with people having to watch our live content via our YouTube channel. Like any business, if you want to improve, you have to invest and to that end, LEDP have backed the project at every juncture.
“The new design means that now all you will have to do is go to www.sportinglimerick.com and our live offerings will be there for all to watch. It makes the job of attracting people to our page a lot easier and simpler.”
The Limerick based sports website, which now works in tandem with the Limerick Post in digital sports content, has several exciting projects in the pipeline with announcements expected in the near future.
