WATCH: Garryspillane minor manager delighted to retain Premier crown

Garryspillane manager James O’Keeffe gave all the credit to his players after they successfully defended the Premier Hurling Championship thanks to a 1-14 to 1-10 victory over Patrickswell at the Gaelic Grounds on Wednesday night.

In a game that was brought to you live on Sporting Limerick, Garryspillane overcame the concession of a goal in the first minute to come out victorious in the end by a four point margin.

After the game, O’Keeffe spoke to Sporting Limerick’s Jack Neville and said that retaining their title was very much a goal at the beginning of the 2018 campaign.

“They are a terrific bunch of guys and never know how to die. They will fight and fight and you could see that when we got a bad start. They just kept going and going. It’s a great achievement for them lads.”
