WATCH: “German by birth, Munster by the Grace of God”- Fascinating Munster release

Munster Rugby have released a spine tingling video highlighting the Province’s global reach, highlighting the journey of a German man Thomas to Thomond Park to experience the Red Army in full force.

It begins with the line, “German by birth, Munster by the grace of God”, a play on the slogan that begins Irish by birth. Thomas says he became acquainted with the club through a friend of his who urged him to visit.

“My friend Mark told me that I had to come see Munster, that is was something special.”

Thomas described the experience of witnessing Munster play as like ‘coming back to home’, which will resonate with anyone who has been fortunate enough to see Munster play at home.

He would also refer to the connection between the fans and players saying,

“For me there is no gap between the fans and the players. Together if you support each other, it will be fine in the end.”
