WATCH: Munster’s Rhys Marshall discusses Zebre clash and improving fitness

With a largely forgettable Six Nations over us, attention now reverts back to the domestic scene with Munster still well in the hunt for silverware.

This Saturday they face Zebre looking to regain top spot in the Guinness Pro 14 that they lost to Galsgow a fortnight ago.

Hooker Rhys Marshall isn’t looking past the threat of the Italian side ahead of their visit to Thomond Park Saturday evening.

“They’re a side that can really put it up to you if you’re not going to respect them.”

With the likes of Peter O’Mahony, Conor Murray and Keith Earls featuring in each of Ireland’s five games, they are not expected to return before the March 30 clash against Edinburgh in the Champions Cup.

This gives the likes of Marshall the chance to impress once more as the business end of the season approaches.

He spoke about the importance of the break the non-Internationals received recently, providing a chance to improve fitness.

“We had a three day block last week, a bit of fun, bit of fitness. Got flogged as you do. So that will probably be the last opportunity we got to build fitness.”
