Limerick man and current Larne midfielder Lee J Lynch was part of the Larne squad which sealed the league title in the second tier of Northern Irish football on Saturday.
Lynch has been part of the squad since October and has played a pivotal role in the ambitious club’s promotion to the NIFL Premiership for next season.
Before discussing his success with Larne, the conversation veered towards Lynch’s eventful time since leaving Limerick FC in late 2017.
Lynch spent a brief spell in America playing for FZ Arizona and despite being happy with the experience, feels it was the wrong time for the move.
“It was a very good experience. I just went at the wrong time which I knew was a risk going over there with the leagues taking a different route.
“There was a new owner coming into the league who wanted to split the NUFL UFL. I spoke with Richie Ryan and Eamon Zayed who have been out there a long time.”
Lynch also speaks about the championship victory with Larne as well as his time with Limerick FC and the performances of his former club under Tommy Barrett this season. To listen to the full interview, click below.
