Newcastle set up a match with Adare in the last four of the Limerick SFC after beating Ballysteen 1-10 to 1-7 in the quarter-finals last Saturday.
Ballysteen lead for the majority of the game before 1-3 without reply down the home stretch pulled victory out of the bag for the 2015 champs.
With the back-to-back county champions on the horizon, Corbett knows there is much room for improvement from his team needed if they are to upset the odds.
“It’s something to work on that we’re missing the chances, but the main thing is that we are creating chances.”
“Adare are the team to beat. They’ve won the last two counties and haven’t lost a match in two and a half years. So it will be a massive challenege but we will work for the next two weeks and see where that takes us.”
