Limerick stalwart Niamh Mulcahy jetted off to New York yesterday for the Camogie All-Stars trip after earning her first award earlier this year.
Mulcahy helped her side to the quarter-finals of this years Liberty Insurance All-Ireland where they were defeated by Tipperary.
The award is richly deserved for Mulcahy who has been a mainstay of the side for the past fifteen years.
Two years after the inaugural Liberty Insurance Camogie All-Stars Tour to Madrid, the cream of the sport’s crop will be making history once more this week, as they leave for New York.
The centrepiece of the tour is an exhibition match between the All-Stars of 2018 and 2019 at the celebrated Gaelic Park in The Bronx on Saturday.
Supportters will be able to watch Mulcahy and co in New York with the game to livestreamed on the Liberty Insurance Facebook Page.
The game will be 12-a-side, where rolling subs will be allowed, and comprising two 25-minutes halves.
