WATCH: Griffin excited for Six Nations to get going with Scotland first up

Ireland captain Ciara Griffin is looking forward to their opening clash with Scotland on Sunday week in Donnybrook.

The UL-Bohs star says that the team have prepared well for the competition following a relatively disappointing showing in 2019 that yielded just one victory.

“It’s exciting. It’s the start now of the busy season so we are looking forward to getting going.

“We have had good camps together and it was great for contact hours and time. The HPC (High Performance Centre, Abbotstown) that we are using is great.

“It’s great that we can do all our training on and off pitch. Our recovery is all in the one area. It’s a great location.

“The facility is great for the girls, in terms of outdoor pitch, indoor pitch and in terms of physical camps the last few weeks. Looking forward now to kicking it off next week.”
