WATCH: Aherne Praises Aisling's Professional Approach

Aisling Annacotty manager Mike Aherne was full of praise for his side following their comprehensive 5-0 victory over Drinagh Rangers in the fifth round of the Munster Junior Cup on Sunday.

Annacotty were 4-0 up at half time as goals from Aaron Murphy (x3), Shane Tracy and Nathan O’Callaghan were on the scoresheet to send the club through to the last eight of the competition where they will travel to Cork to face Coachford.

Aherne was happy with the professional manner of the victory and the fact that he could introduce a number of 17 year olds from the substitutes bench.

“Anytime that you win to nil is pleasing. We started well like we have done in most games this year. We were 4-0 up at half time and it gave us an opportunity to empty the bench. When you can bring on four youth players, it certainly helps us progress wise.”
