Ladies Football Cancel League Campaign & Other Competitions

The Ladies Football Association has decided to cancel the current 2020 league campaign following an announcement earlier today.

With only the top two teams making it through to the league final, Donal Ryan’s Limerick side were well out of contention and had only one remaining fixture to fill at home to Antrim.

It was very much a mixed bag for Limerick this season with their solitary win coming against bottom side Derry, a draw with Offaly and defeats to Leitrim, Louth and Carlow.

The away defeats to Carlow and Louth would have been particularly frustrating as Limerick were well in contention and ended up losing by 1 and 4 points respectively.

With the suspension of all activity at club, inter-county and educational levels until March 29, which no doubt will be extended on the advice of the HSE and government in the coming days, we have had to look at all activities which were ongoing since January and some planned to take place over the coming weeks.
