The Limerick ladies footballers have been drawn against Wicklow in the TG4 Ladies Football Intermediate championship qualifiers.
The game is set to take place on the weekend of 22/23 July.
Kevin Denihan’s side were resigned to the qualifiers following an 8-16 to 1-13 defeat at the hands of Tipperary in the Munster Championship at Sean Treacy Park at the beginning of June.
Limerick manager, Denihan, has been speaking to Sporting Limerick and says that the girls have been busy with their clubs since that heavy defeat to Tipperary and will go all out against Wicklow in a must win game.
“We have nothing to lose, we have to win it’s as simple as that. Losing is not an option. We’re a small panel, a tight knit group and we are going to get a result”
“We’re really pushing on. We knew we were up against it in Munster. They’re (Tipperary) looking to win an All Ireland, we’re looking to stay up and maybe win a couple of games, so there’s a big gulf in class but the girls are motivated. They’re training hard and we’re ready for the 22nd.”

Elsewhere Offaly will take on Louth in the second preliminary round match and the winner of that match will play the runners up of the Leinster Intermediate Championship Final.
Roscommon received a bye into the Qualifiers where they will meet Down. Longford will take on Leitrim in the 4th Qualifier match with the 4 provincial champions entering the All Ireland series at the quarter final stages.
