Day 2 Results: Christmas Racing at the Limerick Racecourse

After Sunday’s racing was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, the festive racing returned to Limerick on Monday.

JP McManus got the day off to the perfect start as his Ciel De Neige won out in the Future Ticketing Maiden Hurdle in the day’s opener.

Jody McGarvey made it two from two as Farouk D’alene took the 12.25 Lyons of Limerick Jaguar Land Rover Novice Hurlde for Gordon Elliott.

Heather Rocco had 11 lengths to spare in the Connolly’s Red Mills Irish EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle fr Henry De Bromhead.

Itsnotinit took the 13.35 D Pack Packaging Handicap Hurdle for Paul Nolan under Philip Enright.

Barry John Foley lead Notice to Close to success in the CUBE Handicap Hurdle at 14.10.

The Long Mile was 22 lengths clear winner in the Grade 2 Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Steeplechase for JP McManus.

Dinny Lacey took the Parkway Shopping Centre Rated Novice Steeplechase at 3.20 with Lucky Tenner winning out in the final race of the day, the Doherty Woodshavings Flat Race.
